December 5, 2025— Claretian International Missions

Giving Tuesday serves as a reminder to us all that kindness knows no boundary. That’s why our focus this season of giving is the international missions the Claretian Missionaries USA-Province serves. While we remain steadfast in our commitment to our local communities, we cannot forget families across the world simply trying to survive and rebuild.
Families in Ukraine continue to face the daily challenge of dealing with conflict uncertainty. Across Claretian Mission Day communities, children and families face ongoing challenges of education, stability, and basic resources. Vulnerable communities in Vancouver, British Columbia, face poverty and the lack of safe spaces that help overcome some of their ongoing barriers. Despite these significant obstacles, Claretian Missionaries’ presence and commitment provide hope every day.
Global Mission Rooted in Service
The Claretians began with a powerful mission: to go where the need is greatest. Established in 1849 by St. Anthony Mary Claret, the congregation knew that care for the underprivileged isn’t bound to any border. Their work quickly stretched beyond Spain, providing aid to communities affected by poverty, war, natural catastrophes, and systemic injustice. The Claretians had a legacy for showing up, namely in areas that others were unable or unwilling to visit.

International Mission Work Matters
Many of the challenges that the Claretians faced back then are still present today. Families are migrating to escape extremely dangerous conditions in their country, children need extra pillars of support to help them succeed, improving vulnerable communities, and more. Claretian missionaries currently serve in more than 70 countries, often times in regions that are still characterized by the same previous hardships poverty, conflict, or instability.
Giving Tuesday Continues to Support This Legacy
Even though Giving Tuesday has formally concluded, this year’s Match Challenge has been extended so our vital mission will benefit by your generous support every single day. The Claretians are devoted to aiding those who are suffering, rebuilding, or simply trying to survive. With your ongoing support, we can ensure that communities around the world receive the help, hope, and accompaniment they need.
